Cecil Warren

June 29, 1929 — March 9, 2020

Cecil Warren, age 90, passed away Monday afternoon, March 9, 2020 at Life Care Center of Columbia.

He was the son of late Carroll Walker Warren and Eva Culberson Warren. He was born on June 29, 1929 in Maury County, Tennessee. He also lived in Centerville before going to California where he worked as an electrician for 30 years. He was first married to the late Elisabeth Dunn Warren for about 20 years and then later married the late Irene Wallace Warren. He was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, TN.

He is survived by his two brothers: Arch (Wanda) Warren of Columbia and Roy (Mary Lou) Warren of Canton, AL; sister: Naomi Warren Kelley of Santa Fe; and several nieces and nephews: Deborah Parker of Centerville, Donna (Thomas) White of Santa Fe, Shelia (Bruce) Hughart of Winter Haven, FL, Todd (Nichelle) Curtis of Lewisburg, Elaine (Lynn) Cost of Calera, AL, Mark Warren of Nashville, TN, and Thurston Warren; one great niece: Stacey (Jordon) Shaw of Columbia, TN; and five great nieces and nephews: Jacey Shaw of Columbia, TN, Riley and Reece Cost of Calera, AL, Leah Curtis of Lewisburg, TN, and Keith (Jacqueline) Hughart of FL; Step-children: Cathy (Bootie) Maxwell and Bobby (Judy) Wallace of Columbia; step-grandchildren: Monica George, Kim Wallace, Chris Wallace, Jennifer Wallace, Michael (Shonda) Thomson; and six step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Warren Kelley Lewis, his brother-in-law, Cecil Lewis and his nephews, Dennis Keith Kelley, Larry James Parker and Bart Allen; two step-children: Billy Wallace of Lousiana and Judy Young.

A visitation is planned for Wednesday, March 11, 2020, from 3-7 p.m., at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, TN. Funeral Service will be Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, TN. Officiated by, Murray Thomas Culberson.
Pallbearers: Thomas White, Jordan Shaw, Michael Beard, Ernie Culberson, Tony Foster, Jeff Foster, Keith Hughart, and Gene Davidson.

Honorary Pallbearers: Howard and Rachel Foster, Lee Roy Hill, Fowler Culberson, Mike Flynt, Mike Lynch, John Swarmer, Bruce Hughart, Southside Baptist church members, Residents of The Willows Apartments, The Staff and Nurses at Life Care Center of Columbia and The Gardens, as well as Hospice Compassus.
