Cathy Lane Siegel

Cathy Lane Siegel, age 58, of Mt. Pleasant passed away at her residence on Monday, September 22, 2014 after fighting a courageous 2 ½ year battle with cancer.
Cathy was born to the late Thomas Andrew and Edith Decker Andrews in Altus, Oklahoma on October 16, 1955.
She was known in the community as being the manager at the Cookie Store in the Columbia Mall and later worked as a sales clerk at the Shell in Summertown at the intersection of Hwy 20 and 43.
Cathy’s family remembers that she was very caring and loved her kids and everyone in the family very much. In return, she had a way of making everyone love her. She enjoyed going to Tunica and gambling, as well as playing games on the computers. She loved watching her grandchildren play games, as well as their rehearsals and recitals. She would have given her last dollar to her family and loved family gatherings. She made the best of everything and was very smart.
Cathy is survived by her husband whom she married on April 3, 2004: James Siegel; children: Teresa (Terence Luckett) Meza, Heather (Jerry “Cheeseburger” Burks) Voorhees and Forrest (Alicia) Voorhees all of Mt. Pleasant; step-children: Johnathan Siegel of IL, Jennifer Kistler of IL and Carolyn Stewart of MD; sister: Linda Singh of Chapel Hill; grandchildren: McKenzie Larayia, Mckayla Voorhees, Raymond Meza, Darien Meza, Nia Luckett, Tyson Fleming, Allison Kistler, Rachel Kistler, Gabriella Kistler, and Aberdeen Siegel; and nieces and nephews: Heidi Hughes, Thomas Vaughn, Nicole Armstrong and David Cox. She is preceded in death by her parents: Thomas and Edith Decker Andrews; siblings: Debbie Moore and James Andrews.
The family would like to thank Maci and Rita with Hospice Compassus and Vanderbilt UMC doctors and staff for their care of Cathy during her illness.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. until time for the service at 4:00 p.m., also on Monday.
