Mrs. Cary Sprenkel Lowe, age 82, passed away on Sunday, November 27, at Willow Springs Assisted Living in Spring Hill, TN.
She was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 22, 1929 to the late Edward Eyster Sprenkel and Catharine Jennie Cary Sprenkel. She was the wife of the late Eugene Ernest Lowe who preceded her in death eight years ago. Cary graduated from Goucher College in Baltimore. She had a love for learning and teaching. Education was her passion and she taught Spanish for much of her career. Her biggest hobby and love was genealogy. She had attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Franklin.
Survivors include her daughter, Helen Troy Stewart of Thompson's Station, a son, Richard B. Lowe of Marshall VA; grandchildren, Collin B. Stewart of Thompson's Station, Leah Lowe Golden and Richard B. Lowe, Jr., both of Marshall, VA.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to your favorite animal shelter or animal rescue organization.
Williams Funeral Home in Columbia is assisting the family with their arrangements.
