Carrie Will Smithson

Carrie Will Malone Smithson of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away at home on July 20, 2013. She was born in Pulaski, Tennessee to the late Robert Martin Malone and Ella Mae Booth Malone on November 10, 1913. Mrs. Smithson was a graduate of Pulaski High School and Martin College. She married Carlton Paisley Smithson on May 8, 1938 and they moved to Campbellsville, TN in 1942. Mrs. Smithson enjoyed teaching at both the Campbellsville and Lynnville elementary schools and was an active member of Campbellsville United Methodist Church for many years.

Mrs. Smithson was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters, Kathryn Malone Paulk and Lucille Malone Clements. Those left to cherish her memory are son, Robert Carlton Smithson of Greensboro, NC and daughter, Mary Smithson White (Jim) of Lawrenceburg, TN, granddaughters Tracy Smithson Mozingo (Rich) of Chattanooga, TN, Karen Smithson Chang (Stewart) of Charlottesville, VA, Paisley White Crane (Michael) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Allison White Baker (John) of Campbellsville, TN, and Molly White Call (Rich) of Baltimore, MD, and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday July 26, 2013 at 11:00 am at Campbellsville United Methodist Church, 317 East Main St., Campbellsville, TN 38478. The family will receive friends at a reception in the Fellowship Hall following the service.
