Carolyn Waldrop, beloved wife, mother, and granny, passed away on July 2, 2024, at Life Care Center in Columbia, Tennessee. She was born on July 1, 1937, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Herbert Gammons and Alma Milligan Gammons.
Carolyn lived a life full of love and dedication. She was known for her unwavering commitment to her family, church, and community. As a devoted wife, she shared a life filled with unconditional love and support with her husband. Her children and grandchildren remember her not only as a nurturing mother and granny but also as a pillar of strength and kindness.
She had a deep affection for hummingbirds and flowers, often spending time in her garden, admiring the beauty of nature. Carolyn was a faithful member of Spencer Hill Church of Christ. Her presence there was a testament to her enduring faith and dedication. Additionally, she was a proud supporter of the local Community Center.
Carolyn is survived by her loving family: her son Jeff Waldrop and his wife Sherryl; her daughter Debbie Weaver and her husband Terry; her grandchildren Jennifer Watkins (Jimmy), Danielle Roberts (Trevor), Andrea Chapman (Aaron), Brandon Weaver (Jessica), and Brent Weaver (Emily); and her great-grandchildren Hunter, Allena, Sandra, Will, Brantley, Baylee, Boone, Abel, Arly, and Broly.
Carolyn is reunited with her husband W.C. ; parents and her siblings.
Pallbearers will be family.
In lieu of flowers family asks that donations be made to St. Jude’s.
Carolyn's life was a testament to love, faith, and community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of kindness and devotion will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A service for Carolyn will be held on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to the start of the service at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. Carolyn will be laid to rest at Spencer Hill Cemetery next to her husband.
