Carolyn J. Nowack

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carolyn J. Nowack on January 9, 2024, in Columbia, TN. Born on November 27, 1946, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Carolyn was the cherished daughter of the late Edward Mitchell and Elizabeth Harrison Mitchell.

Formerly a resident of Racine, Wisconsin, Carolyn was one of five siblings, sharing her upbringing with Edward Mitchell, Linda Piekarski, Bruce Mitchell, and Nancy Edwards.

Carolyn is survived by her devoted spouse of 59 years, Henry C. Nowack, who stood by her side through the joys and challenges of a lifetime together. Their enduring love is a testament to the commitment and bond they shared.

Carolyn was a loving and nurturing mother to her children, Patricia (William) Anderson, David (Angela) Nowack, and Julie Eastep. Her grandchildren, Samantha Nelson, Jacob Anderson, Karley Anderson, Allison (Ryan) Schultz, Aidan Nowack, Amber Rose Eastep, and Billy Eastep, were the apples of her eye. One great-grandchild, Alexis Pilcher, brought an additional layer of happiness and warmth to Carolyn's life. The joy she found in the laughter and presence of her family was immeasurable.

A devoted Green Bay Packers fan, she cheered for her team with enthusiasm and loyalty, finding joy in the victories and camaraderie with fellow fans. Additionally, Carolyn enjoyed playing bingo, where she forged lasting friendships and created cherished memories.

Her presence will be deeply missed, but the memories of her laughter, warmth, and love will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Maury Regional Medical Center and Compassus Hospice for the around-the-clock care and support.
