Carl Edward Wright

Carl Edward Wright, age 58, passed away at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee on October 23, 2022.
Carl was born on March 19, 1964, to the late Clinton and Claudia Wright in Lobelville, Tennessee.
Carl was an avid outdoorsman. You could find him fishing, hunting, or riding. He loved being on the water. It didn’t matter whether he was fishing or not, he was just happy to be on the boat. He also loved his trucks and four-wheelers. He had been riding since before his feet could touch the ground. His sister was the one who taught him to ride and it was one of his favorite hobbies.
Carl always took back roads. If he didn’t have to take the straight shot, he wouldn’t. Carl also loved sports. He always enjoyed cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers and the St. Louis Cardinals every weekend they played.
Carl loved his family with all his heart. He might not have always shown it but he always bragged but his grandchildren. Making sure everyone knew what a blessing they are. Most of all, he loved his wife of almost 40 years, Melanie. They were the true definition of soulmates and true partners. He will be deeply missed by all.
Carl is preceded in death by his brother Clinton Wright.
Carl is survived by his loving and dedicated wife: Melanie Wright; children: Shawn (Megan) Wright of Mount Pleasant, Russ (Amy) Wright of Troy TN, sister Sue (Ray) Jacobs of NC, brother Forrest Osborne of Mt Juliet, and 12 grandchildren.
A service for Carl will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. A visitation for Carl will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022, at 12:00 pm to the start of the service at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Carl will be laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee.
