Mr. Carl Stevens Brown, age 55, a resident of Crafton Foster Rd in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at his residence.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Saturday, July 3 at 10:00 AM from the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, with the eulogy led by family friends William "Bill" Harris and Dale "Zippy" Smith. Friends and family will visit one hour prior to the service at 9:00 AM, then following the service. Honorary Pallbearers will be Officers of the TWRA, friends of the Farmer's Market, and Columbia Area Beekeepers.
Born in Lawrence Co, TN on April 6, 1955, Steve was the son of the late Carl Willard and Charlsie Leona Baker Brown. He attended UT Knoxville, and was employed as a land manager with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. Steve was baptized at the age of 16 at the Pleasant Heights Baptist Church and followed his beliefs through life. He was a member of the Columbia Area Beekeepers and had a passion for hunting and fishing.
He is survived by a sister: Bernadette Parsons of Pulaski; nephew and niece: Preston Parsons and Jennifer Parsons Crane, both of Pulaski; good friend: Betty Taylor of Williamsport; and great-niece: Victoria Chapman and Tilly Parsons, also of Pulaski.
