Mr. Carl Jerry Gonyon, 44, died Thursday, May 9, 2002 at his residence on White Street in Columbia.
Funeral services for Mr. Gonyon will be conducted Tuesday, May 14 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Polk Memorial Gardens.
He was an employee of Premier and worked as a yardman at the Saturn Corporation.
The Trenton, Michigan native was the son of Helen Miller Gonyon Rimel of Monroe, Michigan and the late Willis Gonyon.
In addition to his mother he is survived by 2 children, a daughter, Amber Nicole St. Bernard of Mt. Pleasant and a son, Carl James C.J. Gonyon of Spring Hill; five sisters, Brenda Merkle of McBain, Michigan, Diane Turner of Columbia, Treasa Gonyon of Marion, Michigan, Shiela Gonyon, of Marion, Michigan and Laura McMurry of Monroe, Michigan; two brothers, George Gonyon of Monroe, Michigan and James Gonyon of Columbia. He was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Gonyon and his step-father, Earl Rimel.
Pallbearers will be; Frank Oden, Larry Heflin, Mike Jones, Bill Webb, Randy Garton and Danny Dansard. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Donnie Gonyon, Kevin Leaper and the employees of Premier.
