Mr. Buster Potts, age 74, a resident of Jacobs Lane in Columbia, passed away on Sunday, June 24, at Monteagle Care and Rehab.
Funeral services for Mr. Potts will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Howard Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in the Potts Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 5:00 ? 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Horace and Icie Byrd Potts and the husband of Margaret Jean Roberts Potts. Mr. Potts was a star mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. He was a member of the House of Prayer Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ronnie Parrish of Columbia; two grandchildren, Shannon Mark Campbell of Chapel Hill and Maegan Parrish of Culleoka; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Ashlyn Campbell both of Chapel Hill; six sisters, Mary Jones, Mabel Goodwin, Ivie Parr, Ruby Malugin, Barbara Guerry Cole and Beatrice James Duvall all of Columbia; two brothers, G. C. Cora Lee Potts of Santa Fe and Larry Potts of Mt. Pleasant; a brother-in-law, Gary Betty Roberts of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by one brother, Wesley Potts and one sister, Eva Mae Potts.
Pallbearers will be Mark Campbell, Matthew Cates, Kevin Cates, Stacy Roberts, Stacy Malugin and Brian Cole.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Colonial Meadows Church of Christ.
