Brother Billy Dean Felker

Brother Billy Dean Felker, 72, a resident of Park Drive in Columbia, passed away Monday, April 24, 2006 at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral service for Brother Felker will be conducted Thursday, April 27, 2006 at 10:00 am in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Brother Dalton Cole, Brother Jim Blackburn and Brother Bill Cavender officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.

Born in Giles County, he was the son of Lola Foster Felker and the late George Roscoe Felker and husband of Evelyn Bolton Felker. He was working part-time as an electrician with Monsanto, from which he retired in 1992. He was also a minister with Mt. Zion Church of Christ and Lanton Church of Christ for the past 40 years.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Johnny Dean Martha Felker of Mt. Juliet, TN and Kevin Patty Felker of Knoxville, TN; six grandchildren, Joel Shannon Felker of Oviedo, FL, David Emily Felker of Ft. Worth, TX, Evelyn Brian Mitchell of Hopkinsville, KY, Laura Felker of Mt. Juliet, TN, Caleb Felker and Seth Felker, both of Knoxville, TN; two great grandchildren, Preston Felker of Oviedo, FL and Hannah Mitchell of Hopkinsville, KY; two sisters, Faye Shepherd of Cummins, GA and Doris Cole of Columbia.

Pallbearers will be Joel Felker, David Felker, Caleb Felker, Seth Felker, Brian Mitchell, Sean Timberlake, Benny Bolton and Dennis Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Lanton and Mt. Zion Church of Christ and the employees of Monsanto Chemical Company.
