Bro. Charlie O'Neal Craig

Bro. Charlie O'Neal Craig, age 91, a resident of Park Drive in Columbia, passed away Thursday, February 25 at his residence.
Funeral services for Bro. Craig will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Mike Williams and Thomas "Sonny" Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born March 30, 1918 in Athens, AL, he was the son of the late Fletcher and Mattie Shelton Craig and the husband of Evelyn Davis Craig, whom he was married to for almost 69 years. He was a retired crane operator from Union Carbide and a Church of Christ minister for many years. He loved gardening and visiting with church members. Bro. Craig and his wife worked side by side in the ministry for 43 years as servants of the Lord. He was a member of Macedonia Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife, Bro. Craig is survived by his son: Glendon "Glen" Craig and fiancée, Linda Williams, of Cedar Hill, TN; granddaughter: Kimberly Donnie Lockhart of Columbia; great grandchildren: Hunter Glen Lockhart, Katlynn Lockhart and McKenzie Lockhart, all of Columbia; two half brothers. He was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 4 brothers.
Pallbearers will be his nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be all members of Macedonia Church of Christ.
