Brandi Barfield-White, age 59, a resident of Jewel Drive in Columbia, passed away Sunday, April 5 at her residence.

Funeral services for Brandi will be held Wednesday at 3:00 PM at the Pleasant Heights Baptist Church in Columbia with Rev. Bob Vassar officiating. Entombment will follow in the Polk Gardens Mausoleum.

The family will visit with friends Monday and Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia and Wednesday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the church.

Born January 22, 1950 in Dallas, TX, Brandi was the daughter of the late Payten and Ethel Higgenbotham Barfield and the wife of Dan R. White. She had an undergraduate in business, masters in finance and Juris Doctorate in law from Southern Methodist University. Brandi helped author the American Disabilities Act. She worked for the legal firm of Gibson, Dunn & Cruthcher in Denver, Thompson & Knight in Dallas and was in private practice in Columbia. While at Legal Services, she provided legal assistance to those who could not otherwise afford it. Brandi was a member of the Pleasant Heights Baptist Church.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by a son: Drew White of Columbia and his fiancée, Faith Atkins and her children: Cole, Savannah and McKenzie; step daughters: Andrea Barthel of Baltimore, MD and Amy White Bradbury of Lubbock, TX; grandchildren: Erin Barthel of Lubbock, TX, Morgan Barthel and Madison Barthel, both of Baltimore, MD and Alexandria Bradbury of Lubbock, TX; her brother: James P. Barfield of Wimberley, TX.

Pallbearers will be Cole Atkins, Drew White, Dan Cutright, Reg Branham, Charlie Dial and Jamie Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be the members off the Maury County Bar Association.
The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, 706 Haddonfield Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002.
