Mrs. Bonnie J. Featherstone, age 73, resident of Chestnut Ridge Road in the Theta Community, passed away Monday, July 12 at her residence.
Born January 14, 1937 in Greely, CO, she was the daughter of the late John and Loyas Hendon Whetstone and the wife of the late Joe Featherstone. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who liked to do quilting, cooking, gardening and mowing and maintaining her yard. She especially loved her bible study with the ladies of the church. She was a member of the Theta Church of Christ.
She is survived by her children: Jacqueline Geri McCuen of Clearwater, FL, Dannier Cindy Featherstone, Mark Featherstone and Laura Fay Steve Scott, all of Theta; a sister: Dixie Lee Curtis Berry of Mountainair, NM; grandchildren: Steve Diviney of Portland, Joe Featherstone, Amanda Kelton and Paul Barnes, all of Nashville, Maranda McCune of Florida and Michael Mangrum of Franklin; 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother: Fred Whetstone.
Funeral services for Mrs. Featherstone will be conducted 10:00 AM Thursday, July 15 in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home of Columbia with Bro. Wendell Jump officiating. Burial will follow in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Theta Church of Christ.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday and 3:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
