Bonnie Louise Carroll

June 2, 1938 — August 8, 2007

Mrs. Bonnie Louise Akers Carroll, age 69, a resident of Brookside Drive in Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, August 8, at her residence with her loving family at her side.

Funeral services for Mrs. Carroll will be conducted Friday at 6:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Mikey Burns and Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.

The family will visit with friends on Friday from 3:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home. During this time the family would love to meet the Good Samaritan who helped Mrs. Carroll into her home a few weeks ago when she fell in her front yard.

The Maury Co. native was the daughter of the late John Rufus Akers and Rosa LaRue Akers. She was the wife of the late Bobby Wayne Carroll. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Carroll was a former employee of Gilly?s Store, manager of Pizza Hut and was a nursing technician on the OB hall of Maury Regional Hospital. She was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ and former member of Graymere Church of Christ.

Survivors include four daughters: Cynthia ?Cindy? Dawn Mike Burns, of Columbia, Pamela ?Pam? Jane Scott of Columbia, Teresa ?Terri? Fran Dennis Crist of Spring Hill and Robin Diane Ronnie Tripp of Columbia; grandchildren: Mikey Wayne Burns of Columbia, Britney Dawn Jamie Bowling of Columbia, Candace Dee Tripp of Columbia, Melanie Dawn Ben Harness of Columbia, Cadena Chasity Crist of Spring Hill, Tiffany Diane Tripp of Columbia and Shanna Nicole Crist of Spring Hill; great-grandchildren: Katie Dawn Burns, Emilie Hope Burns, Natalie Anne Burns, Abigail Grace Harness, Skylie Madison Tripp Bobo, Bobby Douglas Burns, Nathan Andrew Burns, Christopher Wayne Burns, Scott Tucker Bowling. all of Columbia, Houston Rio Gasca, and Tailyn Lashea Crist both of Spring Hill. Brothers and sisters: Rufus Pearl Akers, Jr. of Savannah, TN, Elizabeth Young of Nashville, Melba Big Carroll of Hohenwald, Marlene Hollis Hurt of Hendersonville, Christine Wayne Hall of Columbia, and Betty Hinson of Columbia; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant sister: Shirley Akers.

Pallbearers will be Mike Burns, Ronnie Tripp, Dennis Crist, Mikey Burns, Jamie Bowling and Ben Harness. Honorary pallbearers will be Britney Scott Bowling, Candace Tripp, Melanie Burns Harness, Cadena Crist, Tiffany Tripp and Shanna Crist.
