Bobby Wayne Malugin

Bobby Wayne Malugin, age 77, a resident of the Stiversville Community, passed away while working in his garden on Monday, March 22nd at his residence.

Funeral services for Mr. Malugin will be conducted Thursday, March 25th at 2:00 P.M. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. David McGregor and Bro. Elmer Lusk officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery in Culleoka.

The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 4:30 ? 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Born May 8th, 1932 in Williamson County, son of the late James Robert ?Jimbo? and Annie Mae Kelly Malugin and the husband of the late Claire Jean Cole Malugin. He retired from Monsanto, where he ran the scale room. Mr. Malugin loved growing vegetables, selling his vegetables and the eggs from his chickens on the Court House square, raising cows, chickens, dogs and picking blackberries. When he got up in the mornings, he would head outside to begin his day with his animals and working his garden; he always said ?I always wanted a farm for my children and everything I did was for my family?. Mr. Malugin attended McCain?s Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a veteran of the US Air Force.

He is survived by his children: Julie Harold Richardson, Jonathan ?Big Jon? Malugin, Bobby A. Malugin, Jeffrey Gwendolyn Malugin, all of Culleoka and Jimmy LeeAnn Malugin of Cookeville; sister: Ann Clarence Lindsey of Springhill; grandchildren: Jennifer Brak, Lindsay Malugin, Jacob Malugin, Jonathan Malugin, Olivia Richardson and Callie Malugin; his faithful companion: Ben Dog Bluetick Malugin. He was preceded in death by brothers: James Malugin and Tom Malugin.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Malugin, Clarence Lindsey, Harold Richardson, Jonathan Malugin, Bob Ramsey and Jim Anderson. Honorary pallbearers will be Elmer Lusk, retirees of Monsanto Chemical and all those from farmers market.
