Bobby Hooten, Jr.

July 27, 1956 — April 3, 2007

Mr. Robert Porter ?Bobby? Hooten Jr., age 50, a resident of Riverside Apts in Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Hooten will be conducted Friday, April 6, 2007 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Pete Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19.

The family will visit with friends Thursday from 5:00 ? 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the son of Robert, Sr. and Dorothy Moody Hooten of Columbia. He was an over the road truck driver for years in addition to working for Smith Trucking and Ryder. He served our country in the United States Army.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Jessica Butcher of Middle Port, OH and Sargent Joshua R. Hooten of Tucson, AZ; one grandson, Brody Butcher of Middle Port, OH; a sister, Patricia Michael Weglarz of Alphrett, GA; four nephews, Jason Pam Hooten of Columbia, Stephen Weglarz and Philip Weglarz both of Alphrett, GA, Zack Hooten of Columbia; three nieces, Sarah Hooten, Summer Hooten and Kristona Isabell all of Columbia. He was preceded in death by a sister, Gail Hooten.

Family and friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.
