Mr. Bobby Gene Thomason, 65, a resident of South Walnut Street in Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at his residence.
Funeral services for Mr. Thomason will be conducted Friday August 13, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Mike Williams officiating. Entombment will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Charlie M. and Willadean Marshall Thomason and husband of Dorothy Jean Attkisson Thomason. He was a former employee of the Pepsi Bottling Company in Evansville, IN. He served in the US Navy and attended the Nazarene Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Mike McKenzie of Texas; a step-son, Stanley Rogers of Mt. Pleasant; a step-daughter, Cordelia Harris of Mt. Pleasant; three brothers, Wayne Marilyn Thomason and Russell Patsy Thomason, both of Mt. Pleasant and Arnold Thomason of Birmingham, AL; a sister, Eloise Larry Hicks of Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Burns and a brother, Ray Thomason.
Pallbearers will be Leo Cole, Leo Cole Jr, J.W. Durham, Joe Durham, Larry Hicks, Larry Holden, Ray Wright and Rodney Ballinger.
Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Mt. Pleasant Power System, Dr. Charles Ball, Dr. John Brown, Dr. John Maloof, the staff of Willowbrook Home Care and Hospice Agency and the nurses of Williamson County Medical Center.
