Mr. Bobby F. Collier, 72, a resident of Cliff White Road in Columbia, passed away Friday, February 17, 2006 at Maury Regional Hospital after an extended illness.
Funeral services for Mr. Collier will be conducted Monday, February 2o, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rick Points and Reverend John Rushing officiating. Entombment will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4 :00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of late Tom Lee and Emma Cummins Collier and the husband of Blanche Collier. He attended Neapolis grade school and Spring Hill High School, also attended Auctioneer School in Fort Smith Arkansas. Bobby was a well known Columbia Realtor and Auctioneer, serving some 30 years in Maury County and surrounding Counties. He was an active member with the Maury County Board of Realtors serving two terms as President and one term as Vice President. He was honored with the Career Achievement Award in 2002. He owned and operated Columbia Realty and Auction and Columbia Homes Building Company and was affiliated with Century 21 Crow and Potts for many years. His hobbies and past time enjoyment was working on his farm and in his shop. Bobby loved his horses and mules and his beloved pet dachshund, Cee Cee.
He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Collier and Jeannie David Owens both of Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Mercedes Billy Robinson, Brandon Jennifer Lee and Ashley Watts all of Columbia, TN; great-grandchildren, Allyce Robinson, Amalie Robinson, Niki Lee and Tyler Lee all of Columbia, TN; one niece, Melissa Potts of Hampshire, TN; four nephews, Billy Morrow of Columbia, TN, Mike Morrow of Nashville, TN, Tony Collier and Charlie Collier of Culleoka, TN; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Fennell and Opal Collier. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Cleo Winton, Thelma Johns, Marcia Morrow and Audrey Biffle; one brother, Tommy Collier and a nephew, Jimmy ?Mousey? Collier.
Pallbearers will be Tony Collier, Charlie Collier, Mike Morrow, Darrell Potts, Donald Briggs, Donald Kincaid, Herman Lewis and Michael Collier.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jon Freels, Dr. Erik Iversen, Dr. Shawn Gentry, Dr. Jamie Slandzicki, Gerald Waggoner, Joe Spann, Tommy Hight, Sr., Billy Crow, Waylan Dean , Lionel Ward, Guy Hester, Fred Gidcomb, Leland Griffith, Southern Middle Tennessee Board of Realtors, attending nurses and techs of Maury Regional Hospital and Staff of NHC of Columbia.
