Bobby Carver Slaughter

June 17, 1960 — May 11, 2008

Mr. Bobby Carver Slaughter, age 47, a resident of Flag Springs Road in Lynnville, passed away on Sunday, May 11, at his residence.

Graveside services for Mr. Slaughter will be conducted Tuesday May 13, at 2:00 P.M. at Rose Hill Cemetery with Brother Larry Walker officiating.

The family will visit with friends on Tuesday at 1:30 P.M. at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Williams Funeral Home in Columbia will be in charge of the arrangements.

The Clarksville, TN native was the son of the Tommy Carver and the late Maybelle Slaughter Ross. He was the husband of Jeanne Gray Slaughter. Mr. Slaughter was a member of the Faith Community Church in Mt. Pleasant.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a niece: Cathy Carver and children of Murfreesboro; step-children: Denise Dennis, Leslie Debbie Blalock, Robert Kari Blalock, Joe Baker, Cathy Hensley all of Montgomery, TX; Step-grandchildren: Brenna Blalock, Bo Blalock, Brayton Blalock, Brooke Blalock, Justin Blalock and John Acree all of Montgomery, TX; Aunt: Lera Chapman of Hohenwald; cousins: Ernie Ward and children, Carol Prentice and children of Hohenwald, Debra Riley and children of Hohenwald, Christy Rick and children of Culleoka and Melissa Harris and children of Nashville; in-laws: Carolyn and Sidney Armer of Conroe, TX, Fred and Mary Gray of Houston, TX, Jack and Diane Gray of New Caney, TX, Jimmy and Margaret Gray of Mesquite, TX, Johnny and Sandy Gray of Waco, TX, Kathy and Lewis Armer of Conroe, TX, Tim and Suzette Gray of Cold Springs, TX, Kim and Joe Asaro of Conroe, TX and Vernon and Lisa Akridge of Onalaska, TX and all of their children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a step-grandson: Joshua Hensley; a brother: Thomas Carver and one sister: Sherry Carver; a son-in-law: Clark "Corky" Dennis.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

Honorary pallbearers will be Leslie Blalock, Robert Blalock, Joe Baker, Sydney Armer, Luby Hayden, Louis Armer, Stoney Armer and Hospice of the The Highland Rim.
