Robert P. "Bobby" Bishop, Jr., was born November 24, 1967 in Cleveland, OH, the son Robert P. Bishop, Sr., of Columbia and the late Jewell Cox Keeton. Bobby was employed by Hidden Dunes Resort in Miramar Beach, FL as a pool technician. His two sons were his greatest joy in life, followed by time spent on his Harley.
Bobby passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 27, while at work.
Survivors in addition to his father include his wife, Carole Fogel Bishop of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; his two sons, Collin and Noah Bishop, both of Santa Rosa Beach; one brother, Steven Bishop of Columbia; three sisters, Tamara Davis, Lora Beth David Stanfill and Crystal Jason Osborne, all of Columbia; step-father, Johnny Keeton of Hohenwald ; one step-sister and two step-brothers along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Bobby will be conducted Monday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Jim Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jason Osborne, W.C. Brown, Jr., Travis Wiseman and Derrick Poovey.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bishop family by contacting Williams Funeral Home.
