Bobbie W. White, age 78, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, September 05, 2016 at NHC Hillview in Columbia, TN.
Bobbie was born on August 17, 1938 to Thomas “T. V.” Vernon White and Bessie Hannah White. On January 29, 1956 she married the love of her life, William Ferrell White. She enjoyed decorating and designing houses with her husband. She loved planting and caring for her plants and very much enjoyed going to yard sales. She was the executive secretary to John R. Neal and also worked as an executive secretary for the Director of the Maury County School System. She was a member of First Methodist Church of Mt. Pleasant.
Bobbie is survived by her loving husband: Ferrell White of Mt. Pleasant; son: Bill White of Mt. Pleasant; grandsons: Derrick (Amanda) Scott of Lewisburg and Drew (Amanda) Scott of Norman, OK; and great grandchildren: Landon, Gavin, Ava, Brooklyn, Evie and Ever Scott.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 7 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday immediately following the visitation beginning at 7:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Her grandsons, Drew Scott and Derrick Scott along with Rev. Tom Spellings will officiate the service. A private family inurnment will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to either the American Heart Association at www.heart.org , American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org or the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org .
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Pruitt, Tim Smith, Mike Bone, Jimmy and Shannon Rippey, Billy and Shelia Fleming, Mike and Becky Sweeney, Mike Tyler, Larry McCrory, David and Geri Ann Edwards, Farris and Patsy Grimes, Wilma Locke and family, Brenda Hallmark and Friends at Peter’s Landing, Tennessee.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Cummins Couch and the staff at NHC Hillview especially Cathy Lovett and Lynn Kirk.
