Mr. Bob J. Russell, age 81, a resident of Brannon Court in Columbia, passed away Wednesday, July 18, at his home.
Funeral services for Mr. Russell will be conducted Friday at 2:00 pm at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. James Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends Thursday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late William and Nina Owens Russell. He was retired from Columbia Construction as a welder and pipefitter. He was US Army veteran in WWII and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his sons, Joe Patricia Russell, Jim Russell, Jeff Russell and David Paula Osborne all of Columbia; a daughter, Beth Russell of Columbia; 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; special friend, Billy Pope, who the family would like to give special thanks. Mr. Russell was preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Steven Gray, Joshua Gray, Michael Russell, James Morton, Corey Benderman and David Osborne Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Pope, Tommy Spicer, Timmy and the members of the Viola Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, One Vantage Way, Suite C-250, Nashville, TN 37228
