Mrs. Blanche Lynn Jett, age 68, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Blanche was born on August 11, 1945 in Knoxville, Tennessee and was married to Thomas Jett with whom she built a loving family. She was a great person and a wonderful mother and friend. Her family remembers that it was impossible to not like her if you had met her. She was very spunky and always smiling. You never knew what she would say, but you would be left smiling. She loved sewing machines, shopping, gardening and flowers. Also, she was an avid animal lover.
Blanche was a hard working woman and began her working years at Stork Town, eventually working at Publix Shirt Factory. Later she worked at Apcom and then retired from Cosmolab as a line technician. She was a member of Lynnville First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband: Thomas Jett of Culleoka; children: Ray (Laura) Jett of Lynnville, Timmy (Angie) Jett, of Lynnville, Troy (Jessica) Jett of Lynnville and Becky (Joe) Cardwell of Pace, FL; grandchildren: Dustin Jett, Brandon Jett, Samantha Marciniak, Sylvester Marciniak, Stevie Ballinger, Blake (Chelsea) Greenfield, Briana (Wes) Betker, Erica Harrison, Serina Jett, Wyatt Jett, Samantha Harris, Savannah Harris; great-grandson: Jaysen Betker and two great-grandchildren on the way: Mackenzie Jett and Grayson Greenfield.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jett will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Leon Reed officiating. Internment will follow at Lynnwood Cemetery in Lynnville, Tennessee. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ray Jett, Troy Jett, Timmy Jett, Dustin Jett, Brandon Jett, Joe Cardwell and Blake Greenfield will serve as pallbearers. Wyatt Jett will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
