Mr. Billy Joe Vandiver, age 69, a resident of N. Locust Street in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Tuesday, February 27at his home.
Funeral services for Mr. Vandiver will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, March 2 in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Jason Mize officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Horace and Lizzie Steward Vandiver and husband of Peggy Mitchell Vandiver. He was a retired production superintendent from Rhodia, a driver for Parks Motors, past master of the Mt. Pleasant Masonic Lodge #610 and attended Living Waters Church of God in Mt. Pleasant.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Judy Vandiver of Nashville, Amy Chuck Ray of Atlanta; a sister, Joyce Gerald Paul of Mt. Pleasant; two brothers, Allen Ann Vandiver and Charles Ruby Vandiver, both of Mt. Pleasant; three grandchildren, Sarah Stephenson of Memphis, Cory Ray and Samantha Ray, both of Atlanta.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Vandiver, Wayne Vandiver, Horace Vandiver, Jr., Brad Caswell, Walter Musik, Jack Scott, Tony Curtis, Chris Beckum, David Rochester, and Bradley Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Linda Allen, Margie Wade and employees of Parks Motors.
