Mr. Billy Ray "Bubba" Hardison, Jr., 44, , died Sunday, May 18, 2003 at his residence on Greenwood Avenue in Mt. Pleasant.

Funeral services for Mr. Hardison will be conducted Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at 1:00 p. m. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Elmer Lusk, Kevin White, and Reverend J.C. Christian officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the son of Billy Ray, Sr. and Betty Hargrove Hardison of Columbia. he was the husband of Sheri Dugger Hardison of Mt. Pleasant. He was an employee of the Tennessee Department of Transportation and formerly affiliated with General Electric Corporation. He was a member of the East Side Church of Christ and attended First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant. He was an avid fisherman and camper.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a daughter, DeAnna Grace Hardison of Mt. Pleasant; a son, Tyler Alexander Hardison of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Anita Mike Ervin of Columbia; two brothers, Michael J. Yolanda Hardison and Tim Tammy Hardison of Columbia; several nieces and nephews; mother and father-in-law, Jimmy and Irene Rawdon Dugger of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Turner and Mary Hardison; maternal grandparents, William and Leatha Hargrove.

Pallbearers will be Troy Dale, Mike Qualls, Grady Boshers, Eddie Martin, Ricky Hobby, Jason Haygood, Neal Blair, and Bill Cothran. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Tennessee Department of Transportation, members of the Mt. Pleasant Fire Department, James Goodloe, Robert Brown, Ted Sisco, and James Davey.
