Billy R. Carroll

Mr. Billy R. Carroll, 66, a resident of Love Branch Road in Hampshire, TN., died Wednesday, September 03, 2003 at his residence.

Funeral services for Mr. Carroll will be conducted Friday, September 05, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Elmer Lusk and Rick Points officiating. Burial will be in the Palestine Cemetery in Lewis County. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 1:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Lewis County native was the son of the late Cecil and Lema Sue Clay Carroll. He was the husband of Patsy A. Nolen Carroll for 30 years. He attended Hay Long Elementary and High School in Mt. Pleasant, TN. He was the owner and operator of Carroll?s Tire and Wheel with his son Billy R. Carroll, Jr. He was a sponsor of Hampshire School for the Intramural Basketball team and T-Ball. He was a contributor to the Christmas card program in the Daily Herald and the Angel Tree at First Farmers and Merchants Bank. He was a man with a big heart; he bought groceries from Bi-Lo Grocery and gave out to needy families in his community. He served in United States Army in Germany. He was a member of the South Point Church of Christ.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Kim Ricky Duberry of Mt. Pleasant, TN., Angie Terry Boshers of Hampshire, TN., Billy Rhonda Carroll, Jr. of Hampshire, TN., Tommy Tammy Carroll of Columbia, TN., Comer Bryant Debbie Brewer of Hampshire, TN., Robert Dayton Brewer of Nashville, TN., Troy Wade Brewer of Hampshire, TN., Lorie Ann Earl Wise of Hampshire, TN., two sisters, Faye Blocker of Columbia, TN. and Norma Stanley Kelley of Hampshire, TN.; grandchildren, Randy Ray Carroll, Christopher Coty Carroll, Brandy Lynn Cothran, Terry Daniel Boshers, Kerry Wayne Boshers, Mitchell Andrew Jones, David Allen Carroll, Dustin Michael Carroll, Briar Michael Carroll, Jon Pritchard Anderson, Richard Bryant Brewer, Lindsey Ann Tillery, Breanna Michelle Wise, Robert Anthony Caleb Wise, Amberlin Natasha Wise , Erica Nichole Whitehead, Jessica Rae Whitehead, Megan Rochey Brewer and Ellis Wade Brewer, Eli Duberry, Shae Duberry, and Paige Duberry; a great-grandchild, Jeffery Ryan Cothran.

He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Michael Carroll; one brother, Bobby Wayne Carroll and one sister, Wynnell Griffin.
