Billy "Pop" Clifton Pridy

Billy “Pop” Clifton Pridy, age 79, passed away, Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center while surrounded by his family.
Billy was born in Charleston, TN to the late John and Irene “Longwith” Pridy. Billy worked at Union Carbide finally retiring after 30 years. Throughout his retirement he worked with his son-in-law and two grandsons at Tim’s Auto Sales in Mt. Pleasant. Billy was married to Betty “Green” Pridy for 55 wonderful years; together they attended the Mooresville Baptist Church. If you knew Billy then you saw what it was to be easy going. He was always laid back and in a good mood and loved to make others smile, and spend time with his grandchildren. He believed in being kind to others and was the perfect example. Billy is a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend, and will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
Billy is survived by: his Wife: Betty Pridy; Daughters: Jennifer (Tim) Moore and Cynthia (Steve) Jett; Grandsons: Matthew and Nick Moore; Granddaughter: Dawn Melton; Great Grandson: Jon Melton; Great Granddaughter: Malia Melton; Brother: Jim (Evelyn) Pridy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 at The Arbors of Polk Memorial Gardens.
Honorary Pallbearers will be his Grandsons.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Zion Christian Academy Annual Fund.
