Mr. Billy Burgess Mingledorff, age 72, resident of Cheyenne Trail in Columbia passed away Monday, December 15, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A Memorial service for Mr. Mingledorff will be Wednesday December 17, at 6:00 P.M. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Donna Higginbotham officiating, and with a masonic service will follow. Military honors will be provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19.
The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.
The Birmingham, AL native was the son of the late, William Jordon and Mary Burgess Mingledorff. He was the husband of JoAnn Westmoreland. He was a graduate of Columbia Central High School in 1954. He was a retired welder for Monsanto and a part-time employee at Lowe's. Mr. Mingledorff served our country in the United States Marine's. He enjoyed painting, cooking and fishing. He was a member of the Williamsport United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jeff Mingledorff of Goodlettsville and a daughter, Sharon Mingledorff Stringer of Columbia; one granddaughter: Becky Stringer of Columbia; a special friend: Emory Cole of Columbia. He was preceded in death by one brother: Bobby Mingledorff.
Honorary pallbearers will be retired employees of Monsanto and employees of Lowe's.
