Beverly Kay Navarre, age 77, of Columbia, TN, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, surrounded by family in Columbia, Tennessee.
She was born May 11, 1944, to the late Jewell Morgan and Mae Elizabeth Hart Taylor in Springfield, Tennessee.
She was a 1962 graduate of Springfield High School and worked for a number of years at Jesse Holman Jones Hospital in Springfield before her wedding in 1977. After moving to Illinois, she worked at Sweetheart Cup in Chicago before staying home to raise her children.
Beverly enjoyed basking in God’s creations of beautiful flowers and the wonders of the Great Smoky Mountains. One of her many talents was her finely tuned soprano voice. She sang her whole life, whether it was just around in her home or with her church choir music; it would bring her so much joy. Beverly was a loving mother and grandmother who adored time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James “Jim” Phillip Navarre, and her sister, Mayola Allen.
Those left to cherish Beverly’s memory are her daughters, Jennifer Navarre and Valerie (Abraham) Penrod; her grandchildren, Jimmy and Ellie Penrod; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
The Graveside Service will be held Monday, February 14, 2022, at 12:00 PM at Hart Graveyard in Springfield, Tennessee, with officiant Troy Birdwell of Oak Grove Baptist Church, her home church in Springfield.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or Oak Grove Baptist Church in honor of Beverly.
