Betty Lou Pierce Bolton

September 30, 1947 — November 13, 2003

Mrs. Betty Lou Pierce Bolton, 56, wife of Walter Bolton, Sr. and a resident of Dyestone Branch Road in Summertown, TN died Thursday November 13, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bolton will be conducted Sunday, November 16, 2003 at 2:30 p.m. at Ebenezer Community Church with Reverend Dickey Lindsey officiating. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home and after 1:30 p.m. at the church.

She was the daughter of Christine Corter Pierce of Anderson Creek in Giles, County and the late Charlie Jackson Pierce. She was a former CNA at Westside Nursing Home in Huntsville Alabama and Hillview Health Care in Columbia, TN. She was a homemaker and a professional grandmother. She was a member of the Marcella Falls Church of Christ.

In addition to her husband and mother , she is survived by a daughter, Cindy Lou Clifft and a son, Walter Shannon Bolton, Jr. both of Summertown, TN; five sisters, Ida Mae William Johnson of Columbia, TN, Nancy Pierce of Summertown, TN, Linda James Barker of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Barbara Wayne Fuller of Mt. Pleasant, TN and Charlotte Glass of Summertown, TN; three brothers, Thomas Pierce of Summertown, TN, Charles Ellen Pierce of Pulaski, TN, Alton Mary Pierce of Summertown, TN; seven grandchildren, Skyler Bolton of Huntsville, Al, Brian Bolton, Patrick Bolton, Benjamin Bolton, Robert Brewer, Crystal Brewer, Dustin Clifft all of Summertown, TN.


She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Christine Bolton.


Pallbearers will be Jason Favors, Walter Bolton, Jr., Robert Brewer, Lee Williams, David Williams, Charles Pierce, Alton Pierce, Thomas Pierce and Tim Colvett.

Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Dobb and Barry Casteel.
