Betty Gail Sutton Hughes

Mrs. Betty Gail Sutton Hughes, age 64, a resident of Enterprise Road in Mt. Pleasant, passed away Friday July 25, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hughes will be conducted Monday, July 28, at 11:00 am in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. David Nelson and Rev. Elmer Crosby officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Elbert and Nonie McClure Sutton and the wife of Alfred "Butch" Hughes. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons: Richard H. Kimberly Hughes of Mt. Pleasant and Michael E. Hughes of Santa Fe; a sister: Sue English of Mt. Pleasant; her grandchildren: Alex Hughes, Kevin Hughes and Chelsey Hughes, all of Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by a cousin: Linda Woods Abner.
Pallbearers will be Alex Hughes, Kevin Hughes, Tim Abner, Tommy English, Russell Cothran and Tommy Nicholson.
