Betty Sue Akers Hinson, age 65, a resident of Brannon Court in Columbia, passed away on Friday, September 14, in Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Betty Sue will be conducted Monday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Jerry McDonald and Bro. Russell Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Hinson Cemetery in Perry County.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 3:00 ? 8:00 P.M. and on Monday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
The Lewis County native was the daughter of the late Rufus and Rosa LaRue Akers and the wife of the late Carl D. ?Sonny? Hinson. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter: Angela Lynn Rector of Columbia; one son: Barry Rhonda Hinson of Parsons; one brother: Rufus Pearl Akers of Savannah; four sisters: Elizabeth Young of Nashville, Melba Big Carroll of Hohenwald, Marlene Hollis Hurt of Hendersonville and Christine Wayne Hall of Columbia; grandchildren: Daniel Hinson and Cassie Hinson of Atlanta, GA, Ashley McAnally of Savannah, TN, Jerick Hinson, Bayrin Hinson, Zachary Hinson and Abby Hinson of Decaturville, TN, Dalton Rector of Columbia, and Jerimiah Hinson of Decaturville, TN; great-grandchildren: Keagan Hinson of Atlanta, GA and Joshua McAnally of Savannah, TN. She was peceded in death by one sister: Bonnie Carroll.
Pallbearers will be Jerick Hinson, Bayrin Hinson, William Shirley, Larry Hinson, Jimmy Hinson, and Dave Morris.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Calvary Baptist Church and her grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 1411 School Street, Columbia, TN 38401.
