Mrs. Betty Potts Sparkman, 50, a resident of 5th Avenue in Columbia, passed away Friday April 14, 2006 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sparkman will be conducted Tuesday April 18, 2006 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Earl Lane officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 4:00 until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of Virginia E. Ervin Potts Lovell of Columbia and the late James Buck Potts and the wife of Gary Sparkman. Mrs. Sparkman was a set up operator for Apcom in Franklin, Tennessee and was of Church of Christ faith.
In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by a son, David Rachel Sparkman of Columbia; grandchildren, Zane Sparkman, Mersadeez Sparkman, Cody Shaw all of Columbia; step-father, Bobby Lovell of Columbia; three sisters, Carolyn Faye Kennemer, Tricia Dianne Joe Russell and Gennie Lou Jerrel Lovett all of Columbia; a step-brother, Bobby Lovell, Jr. of Columbia; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Sparkman, Marc Craig, Jamesy Morton, Rod Hinson, Jerrel Lovett and Joe Russell.
