Betty Scroggins Stewart

April 21, 1935 — March 12, 2009

Mrs. Betty Scroggins Stewart, age 73, a resident of Wedgewood Drive in Columbia, passed away Thursday, March 12, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services for Mrs. Stewart will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Adair and Rick Points officiating. Entombment will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Corbett and Willie Mae Bryant Scroggins and wife of William "Bill" Stewart. She worked for Farm Bureau and was an administrative assistant at Rocky Bayou Country Club in Niceville, FL. Mrs. Stewart was a member of the Highland Park Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Steven Katherine Stewart of Lecanto, FL, Kimberly Tom Moe of Eureka, CA and Pamela Massey of Columbia; sisters: Louise Broadway of Columbia and Shirley Gronewold of ILL.; grandchildren: Travis Moe, Kristy Moe, Bridger Moe, Jason Stewart, Clayton Stewart, Nathan Folton, Jennifer Folton, Amber Johnson; great grandchildren: Dayton Cates and Kelcy Cates; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Austin Potts, Nathan Folton, Jason Stewart, Clayton Stewart, Dorren Cates and Gary Broadway. Honorary pallbearers will be the Volunteer Sunday School Class of Highland Park Baptist Church, Oncology Dept. and the CCU Dept. at Maury Regional Medical Center, Dr. Daniel Skarzynski, Dr. James and Karen King, and Dr. Russell Berscheid.

The family request memorials be made to the Highland Park Baptist Church, 1800 Highland Ave., Columbia, TN 38401.
