Betty S. Sharp

August 29, 1934 — December 15, 2006

Betty S. Sharp, age 72, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Friday, December 15 at the home of her daughter.

Funeral Services for Ms. Sharp will be conducted Monday at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Raymond Pennington, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in the Sheboss Cemetery.

The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 2:00 ? 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Barth and Annie Travis Simmons. She was a nurse?s technician and worked in retail sales. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Survivors include one daughter: Brenda Richard Franks of Columbia; two sons: Freddie Kelly Sharp of Columbia and Eddie Sharp of Salt Lake City, UT; four grandchildren: Chris Kay Collins, Rodney Brigett Collins, Dana Tom Jones and Fallon Sharp; ten great-grandchildren: Drew Collins, Kayla Allen, Jade Collins, Jodie Collins, Brooklyn White, Josie Collins, Jarrett Collins, Zachary Jones and Hannah Collins; two step-grandchildren: Erik Lewis and Kayla Turner.

Pallbearers will be Richard Franks, Jack Wetterer, Nick Nance, Tom Jones, Robert Vaughn, Ken Jangdhari, and Rodney Collins. Honorary pallbearers will be the Columbia Oncology Group and employees of Big Lots.

Memorial donations may be made to the Sheboss Cemetery Fund at any AmSouth Bank location.
