Betty Faye Rayl

Betty F. King Rayl, age 77, passed on to her Heavenly home on Monday, May 11, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN.

Betty was born on March 28, 1943, in Maury County TN, to Rachel Eddelmon King and Ernest W. King, Sr. She lived and worked in Columbia at several clothing manufacturing plants and became quite a skilled seamstress. In 1984, she married Paul Rayl and they made their home in Smyrna, TN. She retired from Ingram Book Distributing Warehouse in LaVergne. Betty Faye and Paul are members at Murfreesboro Christian Church.

Betty Faye was preceded in death by parents: Rachel and Ernest King; brothers: Rayburn King, Richard King, Ernest "Junior" King, and twin brother Billy Ray King.

She is survived by her husband: Paul Rayl; stepdaughters: Darci Pizzalia and Marcita Shank; step-grandson: Evan Shank; brothers: RL (Cecelia) King and Jimmy Carl (Shelia) King. She will be greatly missed by nieces and nephews and other extended family members. She will also be deeply missed by her beloved dachshund dog, Ginger.

A visitation for Betty will be held Friday, May 15, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. The family will further have visitation Saturday, May 16, 2020 from 1 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers: Mark King, Michael King, John Michael King, Dwayne O'Quinn, Ray Ford and Don Coatney.
