Betty Lou Morton

February 8, 1939 — March 3, 2009

Mrs. Betty Lou Davis Morton, age 70, a resident of Hodge Road in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services for Mrs. Morton will be conducted Friday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Jeff Waldrop and Bro. David Kersey officiating. Burial will follow in Blowing Springs Cemetery.

The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Hubert and Edna Workman Davis. She was the wife of the late William Boyd Morton. Mrs. Morton was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was of the Church of Christ faith.

Survivors include her children: Vanessa Alan Atwell of Iron City, Diana Terry Mash of Mt. Pleasant, Audry David Worley of Hampshire, Donnie Nancy Isabell of Mt. Pleasant and Scottie Clarissa Isabell of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: Christopher Staggs, Brandy Bobby Murphy, Carrie Butler Nichols Ragsdale, Wesley Atwell, Misty Rocky Bue, Clay Dana Staggs, Chase Heather McClain Deridder, Drew Britlyne Davis Deridder, Terry Lynn Josh Wilson, Valerie Truman Rich, Derrick Shannon Johnson, Christie Jessie Rivera, Robbie Love, Kenny Amy Laatz, Erica Brian Isabell, M'Lee Isabell, Cassandra Southall and several great-great-grandchildren; brothers & sisters: Joyce G.C. Massey, Betty Sue James Elliot, Nita Monroe Workman, Bobby Joe Barbara Davis and Dickie Bonnie Davis; special nieces: Melinda Hodge and Hilda Pickard. She was preceded in death by a brother and sister: Kenneth Davis and Laura Earl Ambrose.

Nephews and family will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Wyatt Cummins, K'Lee Isabell, Dalton Workman, Jazes Southall, Bradley Murphy, Cale Staggs, Sam Laatz, Cayden Staggs, Cole Staggs, Coby Love, Mason Wilson, Christian Estes and Timmy Elliot.
