Betty M. Lemay, age 76, of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Betty was born on September 24, 1942, in Maury County, Tennessee to Milus and Ola Sutton Wiseman. She was married to Ross Lemay, Jr. In her earlier years, Betty enjoyed fishing and camping with her family. She was creative, and especially loved to paint murals. Her grandchildren brought her much enjoyment and she loved spending time with them. She also loved her dog, Bubba, and treated him like one of her kids. She was of the Church of Christ faith.
Betty is survived by her husband: Ross Lemay, Jr.; children:Tina (Buddy) Boane and Trina (Travis) Davis; grandchildren: Stephen Mencer, Chris (Lisa) Mayo and Jennifer (Shawn) Adams; great-grandchildren: Armani Adams, Amilee Taylor, Hannah Mayo, Haley Mayo, Aliea Eastep and Christin Mayo; brother: Coy Lee (Flora) Wiseman; half-siblings: Ronnie Wiseman, Michael Wiseman, Marie “Boodie” Estis, Patricia Johnson, and Linda Hall; step-siblings: Martin “Tootie” Woodard and James “Monk” Woodard; sisters-in-law: Ann Wiseman and Dorothy Moore; brother-in-law: Billy (Jean) LeMay; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Milus Wiseman and Ola Sutton Wiseman; brother: Donald Wiseman and half-brothers: Charles “Buddy Wiseman, and Stanley Wiseman; step-brothers: Ollie “Dump” Woodard, Wayne “Snookie” Woodard,
Funeral services for Betty will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Burial will follow at Summertown Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Monday, June 10 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.
Stephen Mencer, Chris Mayo, Shawn Taylor, Chris Payne, Wayne Sanders, and Larry Hyde will serve as pallbearers.
