Betty Jean Fitzgeral Lee

Betty Jean Fitzgerald Lee former resident of Mere Drive, Columbia, Tennessee, age 83, passed away at her home Friday, January 15, 2016.
Betty was born in Maury County December 21, 1932 to the late Moody A. Fitzgerald and the late Mary “Willis” Fitzgerald. Betty married Virgil Eugene Lee and they shared 39 years together before he passed away August 26, 1989. Betty worked as an LPN for Maury Regional Medical Center and several local nursing homes before retiring. Betty will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Betty is survived by her daughter: Carol (Allen) Ring; grandson: Brian (Beth) Ring; granddaughter: Jennie (Adam) Fitch; great grand children: Austin, Brooke, Kaylee, Alyson, Adam, Ethan, and Hensley. Preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Dell Taylor and Ophelia Slaughter; and brother: Jimmy Fitzgerald.
To honor Betty’s wishes there will be a gathering of family and friends Monday, January 18, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. A graveside Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. following the gathering with Bro. Mike Roberts officiating at Polk Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be: Family and Friends.
