Betty Harlow Nance

December 16, 1932 — August 24, 2003

Mrs. Betty Jean Harlow Nance, 70, a resident of Glenrose Drive in Columbia, died Sunday, August 24, 2003 at Saint Thomas Hospital.


Funeral services for Mrs. Nance will be conducted Wednesday August 27, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Richard Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.


The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Joe Norman and Gladys Curtis Harlow. She was a homemaker and a former employee of Cantrell?s and worked for a Catering Company and also a loving mother and friend. She was a member of Hall?s Chapel Church of Christ and taught a Kindergarten through teens Sunday school class.

She is survived by a daughter, Vicky L.Nance of Columbia; a son, Michael S. Nance of Columbia; two sisters, Linda Steve Harlow Lowery and, Dorothy Chess Harlow Porter both of Mt. Pleasant, TN.; four brothers, Bobby Kay Harlow of Baxter, Tn., Larry Betty Harlow of Crestview, Fla., Bill Janie Harlow of Lawrenceburg, TN and Barry Dale Harlow of Mt. Pleasant, TN., and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceeded in death by two brothers, Charles Ray and Norman Carl Harlow.


Pallbearers will be Kenny King, Anthony Harlow, Gene Brown, Deano Bassham, Kenneth Walters and Don Harlow.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Halls Chapel Church of Christ, Dr. Ruth Lamar, Dr. Debra Shermon, Dr. Crispen, Nurses and staff of 7-c oncology at Saint Thomas Hospital, techs , Dietary and housekeeping.
