Mrs. Betty Ann “Granny” Thomason, age 71, of Lynnville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems, in Pulaski, Tennessee.
Betty, was born on November 24, 1944 in Maury County, Tennessee to William Ethridge Nolen, Sr. and Zula Mae Nance Nolen. She married Wayne Thomason in 1972 and they shared forty-three years together. Granny was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. She also was a hard working woman, helping work on the family farm. She helped her husband, Wayne on many projects over the years. She loved jigsaw puzzles and quilting.
Granny is survived by her husband: Wayne Thomason of Lynnville; children: Cynthia “Carol” (Nelson) Roberts of Columbia, Annett (John) Hart of Spring Hill, Dottie (Phillip) Hobby, Jannette McKennon (Duane York), Sandy (Buddy) McKennon and Robin (Richard) King; grandchildren: Josh (Rachel) Burgett of Hohenwald, Danny (Alicia) Burgett of Hohenwald, Kenny Ray (Lois) Carpenter of Knoxville, Janet Marie Carpenter of Columbia, Heather Ann Carpenter of Mt. Pleasant, Harlan Hart of Spring Hill, Lee Shelton of Franklin, Jason Ray (Amanda) Roberts of Lyles, Douglas Eugene (Amy) Roberts of Columbia, Jeana Carol (Paul) Caudle of Santa Fe, Taylor DeWayne Burgett, Levi James Burgett and Landon James Burgett; and great grand-daughter: April Hall; sisters: Icy Idela Bolton, Ollie Mae Odom, Wilma Jean (MW) Edwards, Jennie (Ronnie) Fuller, , and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: William Ethridge Nolen, Sr. and Zula Mae Nance Nolen; and brothers: William Ernest Nance, William Ethridge Nolen, Jr., Bobby Jones Nolen and James Ethridge “Hambone” Burgett.
Funeral services for Mrs. Thomason will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee and will be officiated by Bro. William Owens. Burial will follow at the Gibsonville Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.
Larry Fralix, Josh Burgett, Danny Burgett, Kenny Carpenter, Harlan Hart, Nelson Roberts, John Hart, Brent Cummins, D. J. McKennon and Cody McKennon will serve as pallbearers.
