Betty Louise McCoy Herron Fogg, 94, passed away Monday evening, July 31, 2017, at her home in Prospect.
Betty was a devout member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church for more than 30 years and called Pulaski her home for the last 20 plus years. She was born in Dallas, Texas but soon moved to El Paso, Texas, where she lived for many years. She started working right out of high school for Mountain Bell Telephone in El Paso, Texas and in 1941 she married husband John Wallace Herron, Sr, and spent 39 years together before his passing. They retired in Pulaski in the 1970’s. She was an avid seamstress, loved traveling and volunteering at the Adventist Clothing Center.
She married Damon Fogg in 1992 and spent 25 years with him before his passing in 2016. In addition to her two husbands, she is preceded in death by her only son, John Wallace Herron, Jr., sisters, Pauline Woodhouse and Shirley Garza and a brother, Jim Tom McCoy, Jr.
She is survived by her stepson David Fogg and his wife Ann of Huntsville, sister Peggy McCoy Hopper of Pulaski, sister-in-law Joan Phares McCoy of Odessa, Texas, two grandsons, John Herron, III, of Colorado and Daniel Herron of Texas, nieces, Betty McCann, Nona Rekasis and husband Michael all of Pulaski and numerous other nieces and nephews, great nephew, Neal McCann of Pulaski, great niece, Lucinda Storm and her husband, Jason of Pulaski and two great great nephews, Gabriel Storm and Nathaniel Storm.
A memorial and celebration of her life will be held at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 2808 Minor Hill Road, Pulaski, TN 38478, September 9, 2017, at 2 p.m. Any remembrances may be made to the Adventist Clothing Center, c/o Seventh-Day Adventist Church, PO Box 456, Pulaski, TN 38478 or Hospice Compassus, 726 N.
