Betty Dean “Adam” Wells Drumwright, age 85, went to her heavenly home Friday, June 20, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center Columbia, Tennessee. Betty was born October 20, 1935 in Columbia, TN to the late Sidney and Sally Taylor Adams.
Betty was a lifelong resident of Columbia, Tennessee. As a graduate from Columbia Central High School she later earned her Associates Degree from Columbia State Community College. Betty dedicated 26 years to the nursing office at Columbia State Community College. She truly loved her work there and retired in 2001. When she was not working Betty might be spending her time reading, either studying her Bible or diving into a good book. She was also a Civil War buff, she enjoyed researching and learning more about the history of our nation. Betty also had a fondness for crafting and creating ceramic dolls. She loved to cook, it was a way for her to show her love to her family and others. Betty always had a strong foundation of faith, and she applied that to her life and instilled in her children. She was a longtime member of Grace Nazarene Church. Betty is deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Betty is survived by her husband: Larry Drumwright; children: Bill (Debra) Wells and Sharon (Joe) Anderson; grandchildren: Joseph (Stephanie) Anderson, Kyle (Alexis) Anderson, Taylor Anderson, Megan Wells, and Jared Wells; great granddaughter: Mackenzie Anderson; two sisters: Barbara Hunt and Evelyn Lovett. Betty is preceded in death by her first husband: Bill Wells, eight sisters and one bother.
The family will visit with friends Monday, June 14, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. Funeral Services for Betty will be held at 2:00 Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Jason Caddy officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are: Taylor Anderson, Kyle Anderson, Joseph Anderson, Jared Wells, Tyler Sneed, and Wilson Barnett.
