Mrs. Betsy D. Previti, age 80, a resident of Cayce Valley Drive in Columbia, passed away on Friday, November 20, at her home.
Funeral services for Mrs. Previti will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Keith Tucker, officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, and Sunday from 2:00PM until time for service at the funeral home.
Born on October 28, 1929 in Greensboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late Tony and Zula Holly Doss and the wife of the late John Previti. She was a retired policy verifier with the Tennessee Farm Bureau and was a member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Eric Lisa Previti, and Hope Scott Pope of Columbia, TN; and Marie Ron Zitza of Orlando, FL; grandchildren: Eric Zitza and Danielle Zitza; step-grandchildren: Jason, Chad, Lauren and Jeremy Gifford; step-great-grandchildren: Karson Gifford, Melanie Stein, and Kylie Gifford; sisters: Hilda Doss Loye and Ruby Doss Scearce both of Reidsville, NC; and special caregiver: Virginia Baxter.
Pallbearers will be Mike Chandler, Tom Forbes, Ray Woody, Steven Baker, Tyler Luna, and Adam Rogers. The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Gibran Naddy, Core Physicians, Life Care Center and Hospice Compassus.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Food Pantry at First Baptist Church.
