Bethel Franks

Bethel Maeise Meredith Franks, age 99, long time resident of Summertown, TN, passed away Monday, September 6, 2010. Preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Ralph W. Franks, parents, Jesse R. Meredith and Ella Mae Cummings Meredith, sister, Alleen Meredith Williams, brother, Jesse Everette Meredith, and son-in-law Frank Hunter.

Survived by her daughters, Frieda Mae Hunter and Jo Anne Paul Barnard, Son Kenneth Gail Franks, brother, Bernard Lila Meredith, Sister, Ruby Jean Anderson, 11 Grand-children, 1 step Grandchild, 23 Great-Grandchildren, 4 step Great-Grandchildren, 7 Great-Great-Grandchildren, 5 nieces and 3 nephews.

Bethel attended Lawrenceburg High School, was a member of the Eastern Star, a long time member of the Summertown Church of Christ, and a former nursing technician at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held at Williams Funeral Home, Columbia, TN, Friday, September 10, 2010 at 2 p.m. with Ricky Glass officiating. Burial will follow at Mimosa Cemetery, Lawrenceburg, TN. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 9, 2010 from 5:00 ? 8:00 pm and Friday, September 10, 2010 from 1:00 ? 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Hunter, James Hunter, Scott Franks, Jeff Franks, Jason Franks, and Cory Franks.
