Bessie Mae Brown Osborne

Mrs. Bessie Mae Brown Osborne, 79, a resident of Galloway Street in Columbia, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2006 at her home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Osborne will be conducted Friday, July 21, 2006 at 10:00 am at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Monte McCandless officiating. Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery in Culleoka. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Herman and Josie Mae McGaw Brown and wife of Clyde Osborne, Jr. She was retired from Nashville Display Company and Maury Regional Hospital. She loved working with flowers and was a member of Faith Pentecostal Church. She and her husband have been special singers for the Lord, beginning in Emmanuel Church of Christ 58 years ago, where Sister Virginia Lester was the pastor.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Clyde ?Pete? Osborne of Columbia; grandson, Bobby D. Janice Osborne of Fairview; two great grandchildren, Eric Osborne and Kristina Osborne, both of Fairview; two sisters, Mary Etta Estes of Culleoka and Betty Christine Runions of Columbia; a brother, Charles Brown of White Bluff; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James A. Brown and Buddy Allen Brown and a sister Shirley Brown.

Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Faith Pentecostal Church.
