Bessie Warren Hood

Mrs. Bessie Dimple Warren Hood, 82, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, November 20, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hood will be conducted Sunday, November 23, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Ted Burleson officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Perry County native was the daughter of the late Egbert and Janie Hick McAfee Warren. She was the widow of Edward Hood who died in 1981. She was a homemaker and member of the West 7th Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by a son, Charles Edward Hood of Louisville, KY; five grandchildren, Patricia Kay Hood of Columbia, TN, Johnny Lee Spencer of Culleoka, TN, Charles Wendell Spencer of Pulaski, TN, Melissa Spencer Brown of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Sean Anthony Hood of Louisville, KY; seven great grandchildren, Cassandra Hood, Amanda Hood, Jessica Hood, all of Columbia, TN, Garrett Brown of Lawrenceburg, TN, Justin Spencer of Columbia, TN, Isabella Spencer of Summertown, TN, and Cameron Hood of Louisville, KY; four great-great grandchildren, AlexSandra Litwiller of Lansing, MI, Treyston Hood , Xavier Hood and Carianna Smith all of Columbia, TN; three sisters, Nella Jean Talley of Hohenwald, TN, Kelma Ford of Petersburg, VA, and Dollie Vanpelt of Alabama; two brothers, Thomas Warren and Alvin Warren; special friends, Angela Cross and Irene Andrews of Columbia, TN; She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Ann Hood Spencer.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
