Bernard B. Shaw

September 9, 1925 — December 17, 2008

Mr. Bernard B. Shaw, age 83, resident of Culleoka, passed away Wednesday, December 17th, at Life Care Center of Columbia.

Funeral services for Mr. Shaw will be Saturday December 20th at 2:00 P.M. at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Reverend William Owens officiating. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, December 22nd at 11:00 AM at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Pegram, TN.

The family will visit with friends Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home .

Born in West Virginia, he was the son of the late Edward B. and Catherine Schrader Shaw and the husband of Helen Kimbrough Shaw. He was a retired mechanic from Chevron Oil Company and attended Nashville Auto/Diesel College. He loved hunting, fishing and deeply loved his family. He was a US Navy Veteran and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Bernard Lee Emily Shaw of McKinney, TX, Darlene Richard Guelker of Lynnville, TN, Russell Kathy Shaw 0f White Lake, MI, Clifford Shaw of Homosassa, FL; brothers: Edward Shaw of Pontiac, MI, James Shaw of Flint, MI, Jesse Shaw of Waterford, MI, Nathan Shaw of MI, Tusky Shaw of WV, Chancy Shaw of WV and Manly Shaw of WV; sisters: Hilda Eddy of WV, Nova Stevens of MI, Sandra Deeser of OH, Holly Anderson of OH, Karen Frescura of OH and Shirley Hoops of OH; grandchildren: Edward Shaw, James Shaw, Scott Shaw, Patrick Shaw, Benjamin Guelker, David Shaw, Laura DeLeon and Mary Shaw. He was preceded in death by his sister: Betty June Fetty and a brother: Pat Shaw.
