Ben DeWire came into this world on July 2, 1991 in Columbia, Tennessee and went to be with Jesus on September 20, 2008. He was 17 years old. Most of his life was spent in Culleoka, surrounded by many friends and loving family. He attended Culleoka Unit School before moving to Columbia, where he was home schooled. Many, many days were spent with his special uncle, Phillip Parrish and cousin, Bubba "Mickey" Prince traveling many miles looking for adventure. He was especially proud of being a champion bowfisherman, winning tournaments in AL and KY and being with his buddies at the Culleoka Volunteer Fire Department. He had just began his employment with Love's Mowing and Landscaping. He had a passion for music and computers, played the guitar and piano. He was baptized in the Faith Pentecostal Church, founded by his grandfather, Brother L.D. Estes, and he also attended Loyal Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with his friends, Stevie Neelley and Eric Creel.
